The AnchorLink will allow to check what happens to your boat during anchorage even if you are not on board, sending all the information of the anchor alarm to another device to bring with you while off-board.
To use the AnchorLink you must have an Aqua Map Master active subscription.
AnchorLink settings
You will find the AnchorLink settings in the bottom part of the Anchor Alarm settings page.
Mirroring
This is certainly the most interesting and innovative AnchorLink feature.
Enabling this option you will replicate on a second device (receiver) the same Anchor Alarm behaviour of the main device (sender) left on-board.
NOTE: to use this feature you must have 2 devices with Aqua Map installed, log into the same GEC account in both apps and keep both devices connected to the internet.
The sender device will share its Anchor Alarm status and alerts with one or more devices (receivers) which will act as you where on-board. Any alarm raised by the sender device will be automatically replayed by the receiver devices.
With the Mirroring function the link between the two devices (sender and receiver) is driven by the GEC Account, both devices must be logged to the same GEC Account. The procedure is described in details within the app, accessing the Mirroring "Settings" page (see below).
Summarizing:
1) Login to the same GEC Account on both devices (sender and receiver).
2) Open Aqua Map on the sender device (the one you will leave on-board), run the Anchor Alarm (doing all the necessary setup), access the Mirroring setting page and activate the "Send to a remote device".
3) Open Aqua Map on the receiver device (the one you will bring with you), if you are logged with the same GEC Account of the sender then you will receive an alert to use Anchor Alarm remotely. Press "Start receiving".
On the receiver device when you start receiving, the app will enter in a special mirroring mode that will disable all the other functionalities and menus. To stop receiving the mirroring info and exit from this special mode, tap on the Alarm info view on the screen and switch off the Anchor Alarm.
Telegram notifications
Enabling this option, you will receive the Anchor Alarm alerts from the device left on board (sender) as Telegram notifications to your Telegram account.
NOTE: to use this feature you must have 2 devices connected to the internet.
So ensure you have Telegram installed, with the notification activated, on your receiver device (the one you bring with you).
To "pair" your Telegram account to Aqua Map, follow the procedure described within the app, accessing the Telegram "Settings" page (see below).
Once the pairing is done just switch on the "Enable Telegram notifications".
Email notifications
Enabling this option you will be able to receive the Anchor Alarm alerts from the device left on board (sender) to your email address.
NOTE: to use this feature you must have 2 devices connected to the internet.
So ensure you have your email account installed, with the notification activated, on your receiver device (the one you bring with you).
Just type your email address in the relative box and switch on this function.
URI Actions
This advanced setting provide two special URI's that are used by the App to inform you of an alarm (eg. when you are not on board).
Once an alarm starts or ends, the corresponding URI is called by the app doing whatever the URI is configured for.
An URI is an http address that could be used to send eMail, SMS or other communications between 2 digital devices. Some cellular providers have a way to define customized URIs.
NOTE: in order to work the device shall be connected to Internet.
NOTE: URI Actions is available only on iOS
To set up the URI to be used, access the URI Actions "Settings" page (see below).
It is possible to test the used URI with the "Test URIs" button that will call the inserted URI simulating an Alarm start and an Alarm end.
AnchorLink window
When the AnchorLink mirroring is active you will have an additional small blue flashing window on the main map view.
This window allows to easily understand which is the sender device:
and the receiver device:
Tapping on this window will open the Anchor Alarm settings page.
In the receiver device this is the only menu that you can access meanwhile the mirroring mode is active.
